Data Centre Expansion and Government Solar Projects Mobilise Capital

Infrastructure and energy companies across Peninsular Malaysia are preparing for increasing electricity demand, projected to rise 4.9% in 2027 to 148.66 terawatt-hours, partly driven by data centre growth. Meanwhile, Budget 2027 includes RM1,500,000,000 for a centralised solar park serving government buildings, creating opportunities for solar developers, grid contractors and energy-management providers.
