Georgia Mobilises Nearly GEL 2 Billion for Railway Modernisation

Georgia plans to invest approximately GEL 2 billion in its railway system over the next three years, including procurement of around 50 locomotives and 10 passenger trains. The programme creates commercial opportunities for rail equipment suppliers, engineering firms, maintenance contractors and logistics technology providers supporting freight capacity and passenger transport improvements.
